Coliseum Motor Company "Founded in 1914", almost 100 years of selling vehicles and making friends. When our company began almost 100 years ago; Casper, Wyoming had less than 3000 people. It was at a time when there were virtually no automobiles in town. Around 1910, Mr. PJ O'Conner, took a building located at 5th and Wolcott and established a "Coliseum Garage". By the time the company was incorporated as Coliseum Motors in 1914, it was the largest Dodge Dealership in the state, selling Dodge, Page, Hudson, Franklin, Pierce Arrow, Peerless, Cadillac and seven kinds of trucks.
The company has the global economic crisis, the Second World War, survived when the government froze the sale of new cars and the near collapse of the Chrysler Corporation in early 1980. He not only survived, flourished. In 1989 it expanded with the acquisition of "Big Wyoming Oldsmobile and GMC Truck" and the 1977 Jeep franchise Cadillac, Pontiac and Buick.
Since its inception it has grown and been successful. At one time employed more than 100 people at its various locations. Preached for 74 years and Monte Rob Robertson and practiced the golden rule of "integrity, honesty, kindness and faith in Wyoming." And 'this philosophy that underpins the company's success and remains in a future full of promise and success to drive.
